While EA Sports has yet to officially announce College Football 26 by name, the company previously confirmed that its college football series buy College Football 26 Coins would be an annual release, much like Madden NFL and FIFA (now EA Sports FC). Given the huge success and buzz surrounding College Football 25, it's almost certain that College Football 26 is in active development and planned for a Summer 2026 release.

Expected Release Date

If EA Sports sticks to its usual schedule, College Football 26 will likely launch in July 2026, just ahead of the college football season. This mirrors the timing of College Football 25, which launched on July 19, 2025, and allowed fans to jump into Dynasty Mode and Road to Glory weeks before the real NCAA action kicked off.

Expect official announcements and teasers to start dropping in early 2026, with a full reveal likely happening around April or May 2026.

Platforms and Console Support

College Football 26 is expected to be a current-gen exclusive, launching on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. EA Sports made it clear with College Football 25 that last-gen systems would not be supported moving forward, and that trend will almost certainly continue.

Fans can also expect continued improvements in graphics, physics, and AI, thanks to the Frostbite Engine, which powers EA's modern sports titles.
